Breast cancer surgery has evolved beyond tumor removal alone, with increasing emphasis on achieving oncologic safety while preserving aesthetic outcomes and quality of life.
Under the theme “Nipple-Sparing or Skin-Sparing Mastectomy for Breast Cancer: The Evolution and Hidden Dilemma,” this international webinar brings together leading breast surgical experts from Taiwan, Korea, Italy, and the United States to explore the evolving role of nipple-sparing mastectomy (NSM) and skin-sparing mastectomy (SSM) in modern breast cancer care.
The program will address key clinical considerations, including the oncologic safety of NSM/SSM, the evolution and comparison of surgical platforms, and the balance between aesthetic outcomes and oncologic safety. Faculty will also discuss the challenging balance between preserving breast tissue and achieving adequate oncologic resection, highlighting the clinical decision-making that surgeons face in daily practice.
The program will conclude with an interactive Case and Panel Discussion, featuring real-world clinical scenarios and online voting to engage participants in exploring challenging questions and hidden dilemmas in breast cancer surgery.
Through international perspectives, expert insights, and interactive discussion, this webinar aims to provide a valuable platform for breast surgeons to exchange experiences and explore how NSM and SSM can continue to evolve toward the right surgical approach for the right patient.
